Regulatory Update: Give & Go Response to FDA Announcement Regarding Ban on Synthetic Colors

To Our Valued Customers,
As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality products that meet evolving regulatory, customer and consumer expectations, Give & Go is phasing out the use of synthetic (chemical) colours and titanium dioxide across our entire portfolio. This includes both branded and private label items in key categories such as cupcakes, brownies, cookies, donuts, decorating kits, and seasonal offerings. We are partnering with leading suppliers to develop vibrant, naturally derived colour solutions that align with today’s consumer preferences. This transition supports our North American goal to fully adopt naturally derived colours by January 1, 2027.
While there is currently no regulatory requirement in Canada, we view this as a proactive step to align with growing consumer demand for simpler, more recognizable ingredients. This decision goes beyond compliance—it reflects our purpose-driven leadership, helping our customers stay ahead of market expectations and strengthening the appeal of our portfolio across North America.
As part of this transition, all new product development will begin to feature naturally derived colours by October 1, 2025.
Your Give & Go Sales Representative will be in touch to review your current assortment, discuss how this change may impact your products, and outline what to expect in the coming months.
We look forward to working closely with you throughout this important evolution.
Warm regards,
Steve Buffington Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Innovation Give & Go Prepared Foods Corp.
